Annual Salary:
$65,000Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
Responsibilities:

- Assist in conducting Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessments, industrial hygiene surveys (noise, dust, vapors, fumes, etc.), incident investigations. React proactively to areas of high risk.
- Coordinate work of Safety Teams in their areas of responsibility.
- Lead/participate in safety audits/inspections of facilities and drive the support for corrective actions and continued compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and NIOSH.
- Assist in maintaining emergency response procedures including rescue plans for high-risk work areas and conduct training programs for the Emergency Response Team with quarterly training sessions ensuring ERT skills and abilities are maintained.
- Coordinate disaster response or crisis management activities including but not limited to sheltering in place, evacuation, rescue, etc.
- Ensure all emergency response and operational fire and rescue equipment is inspected and records maintained. Recommend necessary rescue and firefighting equipment.
- Lead a team to prepare site for access after an event such as a serious fire, explosion, or tornado.
- Lead/monitor the daily operations of the Emergency Response function including drill and exercises.

Experience:
- Ability to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality/quantity.
- Able to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities, establish and achieve goals.
- Must have good critical thinking skills.
- Detailed, proactive, initiative-taker with good written and oral communication skills.
- Relevant qualification and experience in an Emergency Services Discipline at the level of Veteran Fire Fighter or equivalent
- CPR/AED/First Aid Certified (Instructor is a plus)
- Knowledgeable in the Incident Command System for crisis management
- Intermediate knowledge and use of Microsoft software applications
- Exceptionally good knowledge of safety and health standards, and regulations
- Proficiency in developing and conducting Safety or Emergency Response training programs
Education and specialized skills profile:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3 years Health & Safety experience in manufacturing preferred
- Proven experience as a Health & Safety Specialist in a manufacturing environment.
- OSHA certification preferred
Environment and Behavioral profile:
- Candidate will be exposed to loud noise that may exceed 87 decibels.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and walk and talk or hear; and use hands to finger, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee must occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, ambient air, temperature extremes, combustible dust fumes or airborne particles, traffic, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but occasionally high in specific areas.
- Candidate must have the ability to multitask in a demanding environment.
Linguistic Profile:

Mobility and Physical Requirement profile:
- Work location is Barnwell. This job operates in a manufacturing environment.
- The physical criteria for many of the tasks in this job description require the ability to walk a large plant site and climb stairs and ladders to tall towers and buildings.
